Bar staff are particularly knowledgeable on cocktails which is a bonus.
Lighting is slightly odd inside but your eyes adjust to it quickly enough.
As well as the main bar there is a small bar on the mezzanine level.
One of the top bars in Dumfries, however the drinks verge on the slightly more expensive scale, but given the nice surroundings I don't really mind.
There is an ATM 10 metres away from the door, which is too handy.
As stated in my Venue review, avoid hanging around outside towards the later end of the evening, particularly on a Saturday as a lot of louts too medicated to get into the Venue tend to hang around and cause trouble.May 10, 2017 - 5 / 5By Dani HBest bar in town by far.
