  Booked a table with Hugo's for 7.30pm, turned up and was told that there were no spaces. Was told that we would have to wait 5 minutes for another table to become available. We waited for around 20 minutes before they finally seated us. Table was filthy from the previous occupants, we waited another 20 minutes for anyone to take our drinks order and we waited another 10 for them to arrive. By the time our food arrived it was 8.30pm and we were rather fed up. Food overall wasn't great only one of our party enjoyed their starter.
  A rather unenjoyable experience on the whole. Would not recommend.

  Good food with attentive staff and the best beer garden in Dumfries.
  
  Building has a poor layout and it isn't clear whether it wants to be a bar or a restaurant. The bar itself is massively oversized and takes up the space that would be best suited for tables.
